Cadillac CTS-V - day two

Fuck it. Rain ruined my planed bike ride so I`m back in the dungeon working. This few hours helped me finish this beautiful car. Here is final picture:
Next will be the last model in this collection. I have poor material for this one but it will be enough. Honda Civic Coupe is typical model available only US market so this means that even less materials. For some reason US models and brands have lame amateur blueprints, made from pictures with bad perspective distortion. Ideal blueprints like those provided by AUDI or Peugeot and few other European brands are in some way good for promotion. Countless modelers needs blueprints for their hobby projects and by choosing best material they promote specific cars. Just look how many Audis are there in the net rendered and modeled. Especially Audi R8 :-)

Cadillac CTS-V - day one

Working on this model is pure joy. Those lines are so perfect that they almost make without my help. Car is for sure original and consistent with new Cadillac look. I like how all new Cadillacs looks. Maybe except ugly Escalade. Here in Europe they are rare and is hard to spot one on the streets. I saw recently 2002 STS and sound of that 4.6 Northstar V8 is worth every penny on the fuel pump.
Here are fruits of first day spend on CTS-V :
I`m not sure if I will be able to finish it tomorrow because of those rear lights and third stop light that I want to make fully modeled instead of pure UV texture. Probably I will do lights on third day.
Another thing is net covered grill and lower intake. I hope that making it as a model will not be too heavy because there is little chance to do it with texture and achieve good final effect.
Day two update :

Unrelated and little Panda

Today only few hours of work was possible. So far Panda looks like this :
Rest of this sunny day was used on cycling around my city. My typical trip is shorter but this time I decided to make "big loop". Only 38km but in nice sceneries and on decent surfaces.  Here is a map :

Finished Panda be here tommorow. Renderings of Panda I mean. Models will be available in Dosch Design online shop.

Opel Zafira Tourer

This was hard model. 1/3 more time than usual. Those original headlights consumed a lot of my time.
Still, I like this car. If I have money it will be for sure on my list. I like this type of cars. This and Renault Espace or smaller Citroen C4 Picaso. Good visibility, spacious interiors .... ehhh .
Here is finished model :
Next model : Fiat Panda ...... and after that Renault Twingo, Mazda CX5 and Cadillac CTS-V coupe.
Last model is still not confirmed so I will mention it later.

New Beetle - New Record !

Volkswagen Beetle is ready ! After 14 work hours model is finished and that means my new record is established. Can it be even quicker ? Hmmm.... we will see in the future :-) As for the car it is much better design than previous "new beetle". More aggressive and muscular. When I modeled previous model, front and rear parts was so similar that I used mirror function on them and it was almost ready.
Next model : Aston Martin Rapide

Golf GTD - day three (4 hours)

Golf is ready. Next New Beetle.
I calculated time needed for this model and it is 18 hours of hard work. Any quicker and it will become painful. This tempo is best for me. Not bad. It take little longer when reference materials sucks.

Golf GTD - day two

I did not manage to finish it in two days, by days I mean 7-8h of work. I have still whole grill and headlights to model and small details like parking sensors or GTD logo. But from behind it looks good already :-)

It will be ready Sunday and new model will be started, Volkswagen Beetle.

Golf GTD - day one

Day one ended with complete  carrossery of Golf GTD. Shapes are quite simple so it was fun and quick. Blueprints are from user manual so my confidence in every curve is stronger than usual :-)
Next : everything except cabin and head lights. Unless force will be with me and model will be made in two days but I can`t promise that.

Mini gallery - 6 cars in studio env

I will model 15 cars models in next month. First six are ready and I decided to re-render them in new environment. NEXT MODEL : VOLKSWAGEN GOLF GTD

I hope You will buy some Dosch Design products because it will help me personally by having a future gigs. All vehicles are made on Lightwave3d and are easy to use. Just load and press F9 and You will have exactly the same picture rendered like those above. All textures and surfaces are there.
Previous model packages are same way even if previews on the Dosch Design page look different.

Studio Light Setup

Most of the commercial car visualizations are made to simulate typical studio light situation. Reason for that is simple to explain. In that kind of environment You can underline elements You like and hide shapes that in various angels of observation are not perfect. I made this scene to simulate typical studio setup. In this case You can observe line of the doors and bended lower part that was achieved by additional light to underline this feature. This light have switched off everything except specularity so there is no additional shadows or reflections.
If You using Lightwave3d and have any use for this type of light I will send You a whole scene. Just ask in mail. (except of car model ofcoz :)
If You seeing too much blue in this rendering do not worry. It is my fault to develop pictures on dis-calibrated monitors. Output from LW3D was all right.
You can be sure that more car models and renderings will be coming in the near future since there is a chance that new car package for Dosch Design will be developed. I just waiting for model list right now. See Ya Soon.
